Reviews

Jack has been a pleasure to work with. His contribution to the team on recent ESG projects has been exceptional. He is clearly passionate about his subject and brings a depth of understanding that has significantly advanced our internal initiatives around ESG Reporting. His approach has been practical and collaborative, with an attention to detail and proactivity that has meant we could rely on him to drive workstreams of activity independently, and have confidence in the result. The team at Concentric look forward to working with him further, and wholeheartedly endorse his professional approach.

Common questions

We're a small team. Do we really need formal ESG systems right now?

The smaller you are, the easier it is to build these foundations properly. Once you're scaling, retrofitting them becomes expensive and disruptive. Even basic systems, a carbon data template, a policy document, a risk register, make a significant difference and take far less effort than you'd expect when done early.

What if we don't have much data to work with?
Do you work with businesses outside the UK?
We've been told our sustainability story is strong. Do we still need help?
Will this require a huge amount of our team's time?

Yes, the reporting frameworks I work with (GHG Protocol, ISO, SASB) are international. Get in touch and we can discuss what's relevant to your jurisdiction and sector.

I aim to minimise the burden on you. If I can find or derive something myself, I will and I'll only ask for your team's time when it's genuinely necessary. Being selective about what I ask for builds a working relationship where, when I do ask, you know it matters.

Lack of data is the most common starting point, it's not a blocker. Part of my job is helping you identify what data actually needs to be collected, building the systems to collect it, and establishing baselines from whatever you do have. Reporting zero and starting the collection process is always more valuable than waiting for perfect data.

Possibly not for everything, but qualitative stories and quantitative evidence are different things. Investors, clients, and procurement teams increasingly want the data behind the narrative. My job is often to translate an already strong story into something verifiable and credible.
