About me
I'm Jack, an ESG and Sustainability Operations specialist working with start-ups and SMEs to build the systems, data, and reporting frameworks that make growth sustainable in the truest sense.
I got into this space because I believe ESG isn't a reporting exercise, it's the most honest form of risk management a business can do. The companies I work with often have great values and genuine sustainability ambitions. What they're missing is the structure to back it up.
What makes me different? As a dyslexic, I process and explain information differently, I work in metaphors, not jargon, and I have a natural ability to spot where systems are inefficient, where bottlenecks will emerge, and what actually needs to change versus what looks good on paper. I've sat with founders, directors, and CEOs twice my age and asked the difficult questions, because my questions are grounded in purpose.

I don't want clients to need me forever. I want to leave you better equipped than when I arrived.
I believe in working transparently, keeping clients looped in on every decision, and never reporting a number I can't stand behind. I'll tell you where you actually are, not where you'd like to be.

ESG isn't about looking good.
It's about being ready.
You wouldn't build a business on weak foundations. You wouldn't serve food on a dirty plate. So why scale a company without understanding where your real risks are?
ESG reporting gets treated like a glossy annual exercise, something you do to tick boxes or impress investors. That's a waste of what it can actually do for you. The companies I work with come to realise that a proper ESG review is really a company-wide systems audit: it surfaces where your operations are inefficient, where third-party risks aren't being managed, where your policies have gaps that will cost you later.
The goal isn't a good score. The goal is marginal improvements, compounded year-on-year, that make your business structurally stronger. Start-ups are in a unique position: you have the chance to build these systems right from the beginning. There's never a better moment than now and there's never really a "later" that's easier than the present.
Sustainability Life Experience
Resident of Sustainability Bungalow
September 2023 – 2024 Keele University
Keele University hosts the opportunity to live what you are learning, by applying behavioural change in day-to-day life and to put sustainable principles into practical application. I was selected to apply my understanding of sustainability theory into practice by living in a university sponsored sustainable housing scheme. Over the academic year, I lived and worked with my peers to identify practical solutions to everyday sustainability challenges while engaging in community programs. To fully embrace this opportunity, I developed a student accommodation sustainability report, that focusing on the importance of using green technologies in future student accommodation. In addition, I put forward a proposal for an eco-village that supports an alternative style of living.
As a sustainable community, one project that we collectively worked on was restoring biodiversity within the garden. We built an eco-friendly pond and worked on creating a wide range of habitats to support the local wildlife. Through this experience, I’m able to demonstrate my commitment to sustainability values to make tangible change to the environment that I am living in. This has been achieved through engaging with the community and putting forward nature-based solutions into practice.
