The challenge
- Clients were being told by major customers: prove your sustainability credentials or lose the contract
- Most had never reported on ESG before and didn't know what counted
- As EcoVerify's first hire, I was building client systems and internal processes at the same time
What I did

Client onboarding & gap analysis
Mapped what clients already had against what Ecovadis required, identifying fastest wins first.

Prioritised action planning
Sequenced work by highest scoring impact, building early momentum.

Carbon & GHG reporting
Built DEFRA and GHG Protocol-aligned footprint calculations across Scope 1, 2, and 3.

SASB integration
Identified that aligning to SASB Industry Standards increased Ecovadis environmental scores with minimal extra client effort – and built this into EcoVerify's standard methodology.

Submission & score delivery
Mapped every document to the correct Ecovadis question (where most independent submissions fall down).
Outcomes
- Clients achieved Gold and Platinum Ecovadis ratings
- Environmental module scores improved across multiple clients via SASB integration
- Built SOPs that allowed EcoVerify to bring on additional consultants and scale
- Clients left equipped to manage the next cycle independently
