I'm a fractional sustainability consultant working with startups and SMEs to build ESG systems that actually hold up. Before going independent, I worked inside sustainability teams at growing businesses – watching good intentions collapse under the weight of bad data, rushed frameworks, and consultants who disappeared after delivery.

As a dyslexic, I process and explain information differently. I work in metaphors, not jargon. I have a natural ability to spot where systems are inefficient and what actually needs to change versus what looks good on paper. I don't want clients to need me forever. I want to leave you better equipped than when I arrived.

Now I work directly with founders and operations teams to scope what's relevant, build what's maintainable, and report what's credible. No junior analysts. No 80-page decks. Just systems your team can own.

I'm based in the UK and work with clients across Europe and North America. Typical engagements run 3-6 months, though focused pieces of work can be delivered in as little as 4-8 weeks.

Common questions

What exactly does 'fractional' mean?
It means you get an experienced sustainability consultant embedded in your business, without the cost or commitment of a full-time hire. I work across a defined scope, for a set number of days per month, on the things that actually move the needle for your stage of growth.
Who do you typically work with?
Early-stage startups and SMEs, usually between 5 and 50 people, who know sustainability matters but haven't had the time, resource, or expertise to build it properly. My clients tend to be founder-led, operationally lean, and either chasing a contract that requires ESG credentials or building toward investment.
Do I need to know anything about ESG before working with you?
No. Most of my clients come in knowing sustainability matters but not where to start. I scope what's relevant to your business, your stakeholders, and your stage then build from there. No jargon, no off-the-shelf frameworks forced where they don't fit.
How long does an engagement typically last?
It depends on the scope. A focused piece of work, like a GHG calculation or an Ecovadis submission, might take 4-8 weeks. A broader embedded engagement, building systems and reporting capability from the ground up, typically runs 3-6 months. I'll always scope clearly before we start.
What's the difference between you and a big ESG consultancy?
Speed, directness, and no account management overhead. You work with me directly. I don't send junior analysts, I don't produce 80-page reports nobody reads, and I don't disappear after delivery. The goal is always to leave your team capable of maintaining what we build together.
How do I know if now is the right time?
If a client, investor, or procurement team has asked you a sustainability question you couldn't confidently answer, it's time. The earlier you build the foundation, the less painful it is to retrofit later.
